Board Vacancy: Treasurer

Sunderland Ringette Association is looking for a Treasurer for the upcoming season.

This is an important volunteer position that helps ensure our association’s finances are properly managed and that we remain in good standing with our financial and corporate obligations.

Treasurer Responsibilities Include:

• Filing all financial and corporate returns required under the Act and applicable provincial or federal legislation.

• Maintaining proper accounting records as required.

• Ensuring all monies received by the association are deposited into the corporation’s bank account.

• Supervising the management and disbursement of association funds.

• Providing the Board, when required, with an account of financial transactions and the financial position of the association.

• Preparing the association’s annual budget

• Performing other financial duties as assigned by the Board from time to time.

• Attend monthly board meetings. 

You do not need to be an accounting professional to take on this role. If you are organized, comfortable working with numbers, and willing to help support the association, we would love to hear from you.
